Obituary of Josef Hubinger

Mr. Josef Hubinger of Delhi, passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Parkview Meadows Long Term Care, Townsend on Friday, July 26, 2024 in his 97th year. Joe was a well respected business man who immigrated to Canada in 1951. In 1964, he founded Hubinger TV and in the 80's he started Hubinger Jewellers, with over 40 years of community involvement. He enjoyed his hobbies of coin collecting and travelling the world with Gerda.  Beloved husband of the Late Gerda (Stadtlaender) Hubinger (2022) for 62 years.  Loving father of Peter Hubinger (Louise), Tony Hubinger (Michele) & Thomas Hubinger .  Cherished grandfather of Megan, Robyn (Jo) & Alex and great grandfather of Janaya. Josef is also survived by three nieces. Predeceased by his sister,  Zilly Stutenberger (Late Hans). Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch, at a later date. Memorial Donations to the Alzheimer’s society will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
