Obituary of Edna Kanters

In Loving Memory

Mrs. Edna Kanters, formerly of Delhi passed away at Norview Lodge, in Simcoe on Friday, January 19, 2024 in her 83rd year. Edna has left behind a story of dedication, love, and kindness. She was an avid reader, gardener, and outdoor enthusiast who always found joy in hosting family events and travelling to explore new destinations. She loved spending time with her soulmate, Bill, and friends at Cushnie’s Outpost. Her passion for life was contagious. Edna's life was a beautiful collection of chapters that touched the hearts of many. She was always there to lend a helping hand and support the people she loved, whether it was by visiting a friend or family member or lending extra hands around the farm. As a result, she was beloved by her brother and sister in-laws as well as her siblings Leo, Betty, Gertie, Esther, Harvey, Reg, Rachel, and Berdina who predeceased her. Her legacy lives on through her loving husband, William (Bill) Kanters, and her children, Bart (Cheryl) and Bruce (Amanda), as well as her cherished grandchildren, William, Katharine, Leah, and Veera. Friends may call the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life Service will follow in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. The family would like to extend an invitation to a recepetion following the service at the Capitol 33, Delhi. Memorial Donations to the Norview Lodge Resident Activity Fund (Made out to Norfolk County) will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
