Obituary of Fred Vermeulen
In Loving Memory
Mr. Fred Vermeulen of Langton, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, in his 70th year. Fred was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed working on the family farm. He often shared stories of raising cattle or flying pigeons with his father Remi, and growing tobacco and vegetables with Kathy. He also enjoyed spending time with his sons doing various activities on the farm or watching them play sports. In more recent years, Fred spent a lot of good times with his family and friends. Fred invested countless hours working on his classic car, always looking to make a change or an addition to it. The help he received from his close friends was always appreciated along with the camaraderie that accompanied it. Those who knew him well remember him as being a jokester, sporting a smile, and ready to lend a helping hand. Fred had a love for all animals and was always ready to spoil them with a treat. Fred was someone who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Predeceased by the Late Kathleen Vermeulen (nee: Lepka, 2010). Loving father of Todd (Carly) and Tyler (Jess). Cherished "Gramps" to Gabrielle, Elise, and Marah. Dearest brother of Marianne (Late Ernie) Kilian and Denise (Merlin) Howse. Predeceased by his parents: Remi & Gabriele (nee: Brackman) Vermeulen.
