In Loving Memory
Ms. Evelyn Auld of Simcoe passed away at the Tillsonburg Memorial Hospital on Sunday, April 9th, 2023 in her 84th year with family at her side. Predeceased by her parents Alexander Auld and Myrtle (Barber) Auld, brother Donald Auld, brother and sister-in-law Lewis and Lynn Auld, sister and brother-in-law Florence and Herb Titmuss, and her partner Carl Spohn. Survived by brothers and sisters-in-law Jimmy and Maxine Auld, Dennis and Beth Auld, Patsy Auld and Erla Taylor. Loving Mother of Dawn Phillips (Ted), Eric Taylor, Ken Taylor (Kelly), and Nance Taylor (Kent). Cherished Grandmother of Christa, Laura, Ted (Ashley), Tim (Tanya), Nicole (Chris), Hailey, Taegan, Brock (Justine), Neylan (Liam), and Kortland. Treasured Great-Grandmother of Bastien, Arri, Marc, Xavy, Paige, Tayla, Tucker, Thorin, Jocelyn, and two more on the way! Favourite Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Evelyn ran the family store at Bill’s Corners for many years and worked in tobacco before becoming Deli Manager at Delhi IGA. Evelyn and Carl enjoyed travelling across Canada and the United States together and with friends and family. She was an avid gardener growing beautiful flowers wherever she lived, and she made the best pies and preserves. Evelyn got a lot of joy watching birds out of her windows, no-one could stop by without filling up the bird feeders. She loved Scotch Mints, Salt and Vinegar Chips, beating everyone at cards (Euchre or Spite and Misery) and her family most of all! Friends and family are invited to help us celebrate Evelyn’s life on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at a Graveside Service at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Simcoe with Melodie Janulis officiating.
