Ms. Clarissa Powell of Delhi, passed away at her home on Friday, February 3, 2023 in her 46th year. Clarissa had many passions. Clarissa loved her pets and had a passion for arts and crafts and enjoyed being out in nature. One of her greatest joys was working with children as a child and youth worker with the Catholic School Board and the Hamilton Public School Board. Beloved wife of Eugene Schweertman. Loving mother of Mason Schweertman. Cherished daughter of Lynn Powell and daughter-in-law of Grace Schweertman (Late Ed 2022). Dearest sister of Jonathan Powell and aunt of David Powell. Also survived by her aunt, Barb Carter, by her uncle, Scott Carter, as well as several cousins. Predeceased by her father Thomas Powell (1982), by her grandparents, John & Harriet Carter and Nick & Emily Powell and by her uncle, Brian Carter. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
