Mr. Ron Kichler of Delhi, passed away at the Hamilton General Hospital on Friday, December 23, 2022 in his 75th year. Past recipient of the Delhi Citizen of the Year award. He was the Founder & President of Haldimand Norfolk Senior Support Services. Past President and current Member on the Board of Directors for the Delhi German Hall. Faithful Member of the Knights of Columbus. Past District Deputy of the 3rd Degree Delhi-LaSalette Council #5095; and Past Grand Knight of the 4th Degree, Knights of Columbus, Rev. Mike Dalton, Sacred Heart Assembly #2046. A devoted Tobacco Farmer. Beloved Partner of Kathy Bell. Predeceased by his Wife the Late Bonnie (Osaer) Kichler (2014). Loving father of Aaron Kichler (Nicole), Adam Kichler (Jennifer) and Tracie Howden (Trever). Cherished grandfather of Noah, Tyler, Riley, Kolton and Vada. Dearest brother of Diane Mertens (Kichler). Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. followed by Knights of Columbus Prayer Service at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Roman Catholic Church, Delhi on Saturday, December 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation or the H-N Community Senior Support Services will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
