Obituary of Freda Wilbur
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Freda Wilbur of Delhi, peacefully passed away at home with family by her side on Sunday, September 25, 2022 in her 88th year. Freda was a devoted member of the St. Alban’s Anglican Church and the Altar Guild. She was an area coordinator for the Heart and Stroke and the Canadian Cancer Society organizing fundraising campaigns. She was an avid member in the Delhi Horticulture Society and enjoyed being a hostess for Delhi Welcome Wagon. Freda supported her family with her many talents: tailoring clothes, preparing countless special meals and babysitting grandchildren and their pets. She was a devoted mother to her three girls. She cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her whole heart. Formerly Freda Seeley of Sussex, New Brunswick. Beloved wife of 67 years to Glen Wilbur. Loving mother of Lorie Dertinger (Gerry), Lynn Goudeseune (Brian), and Lisa Misener (Trevor). Treasured grandmother of Kyle Dertinger (Jessica), Kevin Goudeseune (Jen), Meghan Joy Baker (Mark), Matthew Goudeseune, Tyler Misener, and Jared Misener, and great grandmother of Claire, Ian, Amalie and Josie. Dearest sister of Ruth and Vernon. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in laws. Predeceased by her son, Timothy, by her sisters, Gertrude, Vera and Althea, and by her brothers, Walter, Lloyd, Gerald and infant Ronald. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) for visitation on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Alban the Martyr Anglican Church, Delhi on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Larry Brown officiating. Inurnment in Delhi Cemetery to follow. Memorial Donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
