Obituary of Dora Crooker
In Loving Memory
Mrs. Dora Crooker of Delhi, passed away peacefully with family by her side at the St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on Sunday, September 12, 2021 in her 84th year. Dora was born and raised in Langton, Ontario. She met and married the Love of her Life, Jack Crooker and lived in Tillsonburg for 12 years. The two settled and raised their family in Delhi. For many years, she enjoyed being a Senior Support Worker; the role was natural for her because of her passion and kindness. She enjoyed reading, day trips with her daughters and chats with her sisters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved listening to music with her family and sharing stories of the days going to dances and music events. She was always available for her family. Her soft, gentle and easy going nature made her a delight to be with. To her, family was the most important thing in her life. Former Dora Marie Howick. Beloved wife of the Late Jack Crooker (1985). Loving mother of Cheryl Nowe (Tim), Lorrie Crooker and Kim Donkers (Chris). Cherished grandmother of Amy Nowe (Jeff), Andrew Nowe, Casey Donkers and Ben Donkers and great-grandmother of Addy and Evan Loveys. Dearest sister of Joyce Burnham (Bill) and Shelia Wiley (Bob). Also survived by several nieces & nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her parents: Jack (1958) & Violet Howick (1979) and by her brother Roy Howick (1985). In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Inurnment in Langton Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Norfolk General Hospital Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association can be made at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (www.mfh.care) and will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
