Mr. Camiel “Archie” Crombez of Delhi and formerly of Vanessa and Norwich, passed away at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in his 97th year. Archie served in the Belgium Army before immigrating to Canada in 1948. He enjoyed working with and trading horses. Member of the Delhi Belgian Club. Award winning member of the North Star Pigeon Racing Club, Tillsonburg. Proud member for over 50 years of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #526, Teeterville. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Demeulenaere (2005). Loving father of Noella and Albert Lava, Ron and Helen Crombez, Wayne Crombez and Linda, and Dale and Peggy Crombez. Cherished grandfather of Craig (Carolyn), Marissa (Morgan), Camilla (Jimmy), Rona, Jessica (Joshua), Jason (Krista), Alexzander (Shayne), Aaron (Mary), Emily (Nathan) and Abby (Trevor) and special great-grandfather to Emily, Rachel, Addison, Ethan, Charlie, Brooke, Eric, Harry, Chloe, Astin, Lexi, Ava, Alissa, Paisley, Grant, Paige, Grace and Leroy. Dearest brother of Diana VanHee (Late Andre) and Georgette Verscheure (Late Andre) and brother-in-law of Agnes and Roger Adam. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son-in-law, Tony Jacques (2001) and by his grandsons, Archie (2001) and Ryan (2003) Jacques. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi for visitation on Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Church, Delhi on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (MAX: 80 Attendees).
