Mrs. Helene Mostbacher formerly of Courtland Street, Delhi passed away at the Norfolk General Hospital, on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in her 90th year. Helene was born in Lapancsa, Hungary, February 6, 1932 and came to Canada in 1953. Helene was a Member of the Delhi District German Home and of Our Lady, Queen of Martyrs Catholic Women’s League. Former Helene Resz. Beloved wife of the Late Rudy Mostbacher (2012). Loving mother of Robert Mostbacher (Elizabeth). Cherished grandmother of Alexis (Torsten), Natasha (Peter), Cassandra and Aaron and great-grandmother of Sunniva, Tori, Adria and Ruby-Helena. Also survived by her son-in-law, John Mazurka and niece, Ilona Resz. Helene will be sorrowfully missed by her family, and friends in Canada, Germany, and the U.S. Predeceased by her daughter, Renata Mazurka (2011), her infant son, Rudy Jr. (1960), her sister, Katharina Kornfeind (2021), her two brothers: Tony (1997) & Karl Resz (1987). Helene was a very special woman with many talents beyond compare. She loved to cook, bake and sew. Her love and friendship was unconditional and long lasting. She will be dearly missed. In consideration of the continuing health and safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will be held with Inurnment in St. Ladislaus R.C. Cemetery, Courtland.
