Mrs. Hazel Abele of Delhi, passed away at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in her 84th year. Hazel was a very active Member of the Delhi District German Home including being their Past President and a Faithful Director from 1993 to 2004. She always enjoyed cooking & baking with love; especially her Christmas Cookies. She always could be found Decorating with Passion to brighten someone’s Special Day. Former Hazel May Voigt. Beloved wife of the Late Joseph Edward Abele (1990). Loving mother of Joe Jr. (Joy), Mark (Maria), Bradley and Randy (Mary Ann) Abele. Cherished grandmother of Mark Jr. (Bryelle), Andrew (Paige), Megan (Tylyr) and great-grandmother of Kaydence and Caleb. Dearest sister of Ken Voigt (Stella) and Special aunt of Melissa Mawhiney Bogel. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by her brothers: Ralph (2017), Cecil (2001), Edward (1959) and Paul (2012) Voigt. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Friday August 7, 2020 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. (A Facial Covering is Asked for & Provided to Attend any Visitations & Services). In consideration of the continuing health & safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Deacon Andy Alway officiating. Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the the Delhi Community Health Centre or the Delhi Sharing Pantry will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
