Obituary of Arthur Van Hamme
In Loving Memory
Mr. Arthur Van Hamme of Delhi, passed away at the Parkwood Hospital, London on Monday, April 6, 2020 in his 94th year. Arthur was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Anti Aircraft Battalion of the U.S. Armed Forces. He immigrated to Canada in July 1972. Member of Delhi-LaSalette Knights of Columbus, Council #5095. Arthur is survived by eight of his children: Daniel Van Hamme, Elizabeth Yee (Late Milton), Ann Marie Schmidt (John), David Van Hamme (Rose), Joseph Van Hamme, Edward Van Hamme (Sara), Marie Louise Camillo (Don) and Gerard Van Hamme. Cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren: Daniel Jr., Clara (Steve), David, Helen (Jason), Kathy (Paul), Josef (Maegan), Andrew, Alida (Shawn), Lisa, Adam, Alex, Sophie (Chris), Richard (Tarah), Ryan, Evelyn and Olivia, and 10 great grandchildren: Abagale, Noah, Audrey, Jenna, Maddie, Stella, Jacob, Hannah, Emily and Josephine. Also survived by his daughter-in-law Bernadette Van Hamme and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his former wife Marie Van Kerrebroeck, by his son, Arthur Van Hamme, by his daughter, Esther Blevins (Late Dave), and by his four siblings: George, Joseph, Frank Van Hamme (Late Dorothy) and Mary Murdock. In consideration of the continuing health & safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Interment in Delhi Cemetery.
