Obituary of Ernest Verbraecken

Mr. Ernest Verbraecken of Delhi, passed away at the Delhi Long Term Care Centre on Sunday, April 5, 2020 in his 90th year. Ernest was a bricklayer in Belgium and when he came to Canada in 1957 until he retired in 1992. His favourite pastimes included bowling, playing cards and bike riding. Beloved husband of 66 years of Monique Verbraecken (nee: Vermeulen). Loving father of Nancy D'Hulster and Robert Verbraecken (Heather). Cherished grandfather of Emiel D'Hulster, Ryan D'Hulster and Robby Verbraecken and great-grandfather of Colton and Landon D'Hulster. Also survived by several nieces & nephews in Belgium. Predeceased by his son-in-law Cyriel D'Hulster (2014) and by his six siblings, all of Belgium, Maurice, Oscar, Rene, Willy, Augusta and Maria. In consideration of the continuing health & safety of our friends and family, a Private Family Funeral Service will take place with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. A second public Memorial Mass is planned for the future.
