Mr. Donald Huyge passed away peacefully with the people who love him by his side at the Sakura House, Woodstock, on August 27th, 2020, formerly of Delhi, at the age of 78. Son of Late Amiel & Flavie (DePoorter) Huyge. Don is survived by his very loving friend & companion, Caroline Vandekerckhove (Eeckeloo) for the past 17 years. Daughter Brenda Ann (Steve) Mallon and grandchildren Brandon and Hillary. Fondly loved by Sabrina and Bryan Smith, Kevin and Emma Vandekerckhove and a special Poppee to Olivia and Gavin Smith. Brother, Francis “Butch” (Late Mary 2016); Sister, Mary Soen and also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Don enjoyed being a tobacco farmer for many years and then a fuel truck driver until his retirement. Friends may call at the MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, Delhi (519) 582-1290 (mfh.care) for visitation on Sunday, August 30, 2020 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. (A Facial Covering is Asked for & Provided to Attend any Visitations & Services). A Private Family Funeral Service with Rev. Fr. Ben Huyge officiating will take place with Interment in Delhi Cemetery. Donations to the VON Sakura House, Woodstock or to the Charity of your choice will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
